Join us on May 12 as Chicago’s makers, doers, disruptors and dreamers gather to celebrate 1871's 5th Birthday! Since our humble beginning, our growth as the town square and central address for Chicago’s tech community has been influenced and accelerated by the generous support and brilliant minds of our city's entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, corporate and university partners, community organizations and civic leaders -- all of them a source of innovation, inspiration, and a passionate commitment to our city and state.The evening will be a celebration of 1871 and our community’s accomplishments in the last half-decade, but also an opportunity to embrace the continuation and expansion of 1871’s mission into the future. Cocktails, delicious food from our network of women and minority-owned vendors, games, expo-style demos from our member companies and a special unveiling of a permanent installation honoring 1871’s history will all be a part of this celebration. We look forward to celebrating all of the dedicated builder and boosters who have helped 1871 grow into a sustainable, vibrant and diverse tech ecosystem.
