Did you know that girls participate differently in the classroom than boys?
"What?! How?! Tell me more!"
OK!
Girls use "qualifying" statements such as, "I'm not really sure, but..." & "This might be wrong..." & "I was just going to say..."
Also, girls are interrupted 9 times more than boys; and once interrupted girls are likely to drop out of further participation.
Also, girls wait to participate until they're 90% sure that they have the right answer (whereas boys raise their hands when they're 60% sure they have the right answer).
