The session will cover AWS Mobile Hub which gives developers easy access to AWS core services like databases, storage, and compute; Amazon Cognito which provides user identity and access management for sign-up, sign-on, resource access control and SAML federation; Amazon Pinpoint for user engagement via mobile push, SMS, and email campaigns for developers and marketers with user and application analytics for driving KPIs, AWS Device Farm for testing applications on real-world device to improve QA of releases; and AWS SES (Simple Email Service) for bulk email distribution.

To illustrate AWS Mobile Services we’ll look at a sample application that shows how to build a conversational bot interface using Mobile Hub Lex support with an example from Kelly Blue Book to query market value of automobiles. Lex provides the same automatic speech recognition and natural language understanding AI/ML that underpins Amazon’s Alexa and now makes these advanced capabilities available to all web/mobile developers without any need for extensive experience in AI or ML. Lastly, we will also cover support for not only native iOS and Android applications, but also for web/hybrid native apps and the Ionic framework.
