As one of the earliest adopters of virtual reality and augmented reality technology, the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) has quickly demonstrated the power of spatial computing. It's easy to consider the idea of pre-visualizing 3D buildings that don't yet exist physically, but that is just one of the many ways VR & AR are being applied to the building trades. From conceptual design to construction documentation, investment evaluation, facilities management, and client sales of both new and existing spaces, virtual and augmented reality are now enhancing the capabilities of the entire industry, with new applications being introduced constantly. It's easy to see why, when the business is all about physical space, the ability to visualize data in relation to physical space makes people's jobs easier and more efficient.

What's The Format:
The event starts with informal networking and technology demonstrations, followed by a panel discussion to answer audience questions, and ends with more networking and technology demonstrations. The conversation will start with a primary topic, but ultimately goes wherever it goes. It is simple and informal - this MeetUp is about you, VR/AR Chicago members, and not the host or presenters.
