As new technologies evolve and get adopted, questions arise about the legal implications of the new capabilities. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are not immune to this universal truth. From the use of copyrighted images and graphics in virtual worlds to the liability issue surrounding injuries when people are immersed, there are more questions than answers currently. Who owns a digital/virtual representation of physical space, or the ability to place digital content within a physical space? Can people protect themselves from having others create digital representations of them? What issues do entrepreneurs in the VR & AR space need to be concerned about when starting up their company?

Come to the VR/AR Chicago MeetUp to hear our experts discuss the current issues, and get your questions answered during our Q&A panel discussion.

What's The Format:
The event starts with informal networking and technology demonstrations, then host a panel discussion to answer audience questions, and we end with more networking and technology demonstrations. The conversation will start with a primary topic, but ultimately take us wherever it goes. We keep it simple and informal - this MeetUp is about you, our members, and not the host or presenters. Come and try some new technology, get your questions answered, and take your next step in XR Technology.
