Sam Smith, PhD
Sam Smith, PhD, is a passionate I/O psychologist with a background in leadership development, training facilitation, and executive assessment. In her role, she partners closely with organizations to select and develop leadership capabilities and build an inclusive organizational culture. Outside of Basil Consultants, Sam is a comedic improviser at iO Chicago and a training facilitator for Second City Works. Sam combines the tools used by improvisers with her professional background to enhance others’ understanding of personal and organizational creativity, innovation, and empathy.
Brendan Neuman, PhD
Brendan Neuman, PhD, is an I/O psychologist committed to helping organizations identify and develop creative leaders. His areas of expertise include executive assessment, leadership development, and HR analytics. He has supported organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors across industries including financial services, transportation, utilities, consumer package goods, and telecommunications. In addition to his work with Basil Consultants, Brendan is a Business Volunteer for the Arts through the Arts & Business Council of Chicago, and has delivered seminars in organizational psychology and the psychology of creativity as an adjunct at Roosevelt University and the Illinois Institute of Technology.
